This Privacy Policy explains how Capexfly collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the WeatherFlo mobile application, website, and related services.
WeatherFlo is a weather application and brand operated by Capexfly. References to "WeatherFlo," "we," "us," or "our" in this Privacy Policy mean Capexfly, the legal entity responsible for the WeatherFlo app and related services.
By using WeatherFlo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the application.
1. Information We Collect
WeatherFlo collects only the information reasonably needed to provide weather features, operate the application, improve reliability, and support users.
1.1 Location Information
If you allow location access, WeatherFlo may collect your device's location while the app is in use. This may include precise latitude and longitude, approximate location, and city, country, region, sublocality, or other location-derived information.
We use this information to show weather for your current area and to select weather-matched visual content. Location access is optional. You can disable location access at any time in your iOS device settings.
1.2 Search and Selected Location Information
When you search for or select a location manually, WeatherFlo may process location search text, selected place names, coordinates linked to selected locations, and saved or bookmarked locations where the app provides this feature.
Manual location search does not use your device's GPS permission. Search results may be provided through WeatherFlo's backend services and weather or geocoding providers.
1.3 Usage and Analytics Information
WeatherFlo may collect limited usage and analytics information, including app launch and session events, screens viewed, weather visual or video interaction events, time spent in the app, whether cached weather data was used, and general app performance events.
1.4 Device and App Technical Information
WeatherFlo may collect app version, operating system version, device model, locale and region settings, IP address, and a random app-generated device identifier if used by the app.
1.5 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
WeatherFlo may store saved or bookmarked locations, cached weather data, and app preferences such as units or appearance settings directly on your device.
1.6 Support Information
If you contact us for support, you may provide your name, email address, message, and details about the issue. Support email drafts may include technical details such as app version and device model to help us troubleshoot.
2. How We Use Information
We use information collected through WeatherFlo to provide weather forecasts, show weather-matched visual content, save locations and preferences, improve app performance, diagnose technical problems, provide support, protect the app and users, and comply with legal obligations where required.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the IDFA for advertising tracking. We do not use third-party advertising tracking SDKs in the WeatherFlo app.
3. Location Permission
WeatherFlo asks for location permission so it can show weather information and matching weather visuals for your current area. You can allow precise or approximate location, deny location access, or change permission later in iOS Settings.
4. Service Providers and Data Sharing
WeatherFlo uses trusted service providers to operate the app. Current service providers may include:
- Cloudflare Workers — weather, geocoding, routing, security, and proxy services.
- Supabase — backend services, database, analytics, and operational app records.
- OpenWeather — weather and geocoding data, accessed through our proxy services.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with service providers who process information on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
5. App Store Privacy Information
WeatherFlo's App Store privacy disclosures are intended to match the data collected by the app and its service providers, which may include location, search or selected location data, product interaction, diagnostics, identifiers, and customer support information.
6. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. To request deletion, contact info@weatherflo.com.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. You can disable location access, use manual search, delete saved data where available, or uninstall the app. Contact info@weatherflo.com for privacy requests. If you are in South Africa, POPIA may apply.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organisational safeguards to protect information processed through WeatherFlo. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
WeatherFlo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact info@weatherflo.com if you believe a child has provided personal information.
10. International Processing
WeatherFlo and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps designed to protect personal information in accordance with applicable law.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated policy, where permitted by law.
